Short summary
We studied dissolution and precipitation in fully saturated porous media to validate the underlying concepts of reactive transport modeling. Our methods, including lab-on-a-chip technology that combined high-resolution microscopy and confocal Raman spectroscopy gave insights into the important pore-scale features for realistic simulations of real subsurface systems.
