Short summary
Reflecting possible futures in the German management of highly radioactive nuclear waste assists in the site selection process and all the subsequent phases of licensing and operation, as they are understood as a self-learning system. Empirical research on images for the future, narratives, and selected pathways within the TRANSENS project offer arguments for supporting the current nuclear waste governance.
