Short summary
Central storage facilities will remain much longer than nuclear power plants in a dismantling process. Storage and Region investigated the current and future significance of the storage facility for the respective siting region. Among others, guided interviews and participant observations were carried out and analysed. An evaluation approach was developed to investigate the economic and social effects, the perception of safety in the respective region, and aspects of future procedural design.
