Short summary
The aim is to identify the inventory characteristics required for the safety assessments of German high-level waste (HLW) site selection. Data sources were analysed for generic, host-rock-specific repository concepts, inventory data and international approaches. The main characteristics and evaluation of their impact and uncertainties are outlined, enabling the identification of HLW key data inventories essential for conducting repository safety assessments during site selection and planning.
